Naming Ceremonies

Personally written ceremonies of welcome for newborns, adoptions, family blending, or new starts (such as gender reassignment or divorce).

I will discuss the kind of ceremony you want:

How do you want to share the story of this new arrival?
Do you want to include public pledges from from your chosen guides/guardians/supporters (I can help facilitate this)?
Will you want to include rituals such as sand pouring, gift boxes (time capsules), tree planting etc.?
Do you want readings and who would lead them?

After booking, I will meet you to discuss the ceremony, ask you to fill in a questionnaire to learn more about you and your event. I will write a personal, bespoke ceremony to mark this special time and deliver this on the day.

Weddings/vow renewals

There is nothing more important than your wedding day running just the way you want it to run. Whether in a hotel, a barn, or under a tree, it will be an honour to be by your side and make your service exactly what you want.

How will the process work?

After booking, I will meet you to discuss your plans for the big day - your wishes for the ceremony and the things you want to include (including music, vows, ring exchanging, rituals, readings)
Later in the process, I will send you a questionnaire for you to return to add to the picture of you as individuals and as a couple
I will then write a completely personal service for you that will be all about you and the things you value
We will meet to go through the ceremony to make sure you are happy and that everything is organised for the day
I am also happy to do rehearsals as close to the day as possible (this can really help to calm nerves for anxious couples/readers)

A celebrant wedding gives you the freedom to be you and have the ceremony just the way you want. I will be on hand to help you and make your ceremony really special and memorable for you and your guests.

Funerals

Bereavement is hard no matter the circumstances. You may have had time to plan this with your loved one or you be organising this without having thought ahead at a time when you are in shock and distress. I can help you navigate this very difficult time and generate the perfect send off for your loved one.

Planning a funeral service:

I will come to meet you to find out your wishes for the day and help you organise a plan for the ceremony
I can help you to think about readings and music if you are struggling for ideas
I can listen to your story and make sure it is written up as you want - respectfully and carefully
I can facilitate those who are sharing their own words so the service runs smoothly and to time

I will help you show your love and respect through a ceremony tailored to celebrating the life and loves of person you have lost.
